Nov. 30 – Psalm 122- Troy Wallace (H2oU Church)
In this Psalm, David is excited to be going up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord in the temple. It’s a joy for him to go, along with others, to give thanks in God’s special city. He prays for peace, security, and blessing for the city where God’s judgments and God’s house reside.
We, like David, can rejoice when we have the opportunity to get together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We collectively are the temple (1 Cor. 3:16), and when we come together, Jesus himself is among us (Matt. 18:20). What a blessing it is to come to Jesus together!
– Who are some people you can invite to thank God with you today?
– What is one thing you can do to promote peace, security, and blessing among your brothers and sisters in Christ?
Father, thank you that you want us to come to you together with our brothers and sisters. Thank you for the presence of your son, Jesus, whenever we gather. Please bring peace, security, and blessing to our churches and ministries so that we can continue to seek you and find you together.
